New paper on Angewandte Chemie

Visible-light-responsive T-type photoswitches with negative photochromism are rare and interesting candidates for a wide range of applications. Using a computer-assisted rational design we manage to synthetize a new switch of the ITI family, the phenylimino indolinone (PIO). This work described its characterization in the ground and excited state using the full toolbox of physical organic chemistry.
